What’s your role at Lavanda and where does it sit in the business?

As the Operations Manager, I am privileged to have the opportunity to have a massively diverse range of responsibilities, including boosting employee engagement, building cadences of accountabilities, and working with our commercial team to establish best-in-class standard operating procedures. A typical work day for me is a good mix of reactive and proactive tasks and projects -from  helping new team members  navigate the business to negotiating features and pricing with service suppliers to building Lavanda knowledge base on Notion.  

In a nutshell, my role is to ensure the whole organisation runs smoothly, and act as the glue between both functions and teams to drive communications and collaboration. 

How does your role contribute to the overall experience and value that Lavanda offers its customers?

This is not very obvious at first glance, but my role is to support and enable every team member within Lavanda to have the tools and resources they need to deliver consistent high-quality services to our clients. This encompasses building diverse systems and processes involving smaller tasks ,such as sourcing collaborative working spaces for client focus groups, and larger responsibilities , such as sourcing local property managers as an essential part of our external operations. 

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis and doing pilates. I’m also a huge Lego fan who’s always in need of more shelf space for new sets. I was eagerly waiting for the Gringotts Wizarding Bank set from Harry Potter to drop in September!

What have been your most recent achievements at Lavanda?

We recently rolled out health insurance for our global team, which was quite challenging initially because of the complexity involved in sourcing a product that would work optimally  for every team member. Medical insurance is the latest addition to our large  benefits package, including a global wellness and fitness platform, which further embraces the flexible working philosophy at Lavanda and empowers the team to achieve much more at work and beyond. 

What do you most enjoy about working at Lavanda?

The culture and people here at Lavanda are the best. Since day one,  joining Lavanda as a junior employee, my ideas are always valued, and my concerns addressed promptly. Working together and celebrating wins together is all part of our close-knit organisation.
